Parents – Rules of Conduct

Parents – Rules of Conduct

Dear Parents, Coaches and Spectators, We would like to remind you once again about the code of ethics that you signed when registering your child to play with the Rincon Recreation Department.  Unsportsmanlike attitudes will NOT be tolerated toward players, coaches, official or any rec staff member.  Foul language at anytime will also NOT be tolerated.   If you are seen acting in this manner you will be asked to leave the park and serve a game suspension.  After the second violation, you will be banned from the park for the remainder of that season in progress. Remember it takes effort on everyone’s part in order to provide a safe and healthy environment for the youth in our community.  You must be willing to put the emotional and physical well being of the players and kids ahead of any personal desire to win. You should always provide nothing but positive support to all involved in the game. Thanks, Rincon Recreation Staff   Remember: 1.These are Kids 2.This is a Game 3.The Coaches are Volunteers 4.The Officials are Human 5.This is Not the World Series...

Rincon U12 All-Star Soccer Team-Victorious!

Rincon U12 All-Star Soccer Team-Victorious!

The Rincon 12U Boys All Star Team competed on Saturday, December 7th at the Savannah United Finale. The Boys were able to overcome adversity and emerge victorious in their final game by a score of 3-1. Coaches Jason Bledsoe and Martin Gonsales began this year’s soccer all-star season on November 9th with a group of boys who had very little experience playing soccer together. Despite their lack of experience the boys were able to win a local tournament on November 19th.  This past weekend the team was able to compete respectively against opponents from all over the southeast who have played together for years. The Savannah United Finale this past weekend brought together some of the best competition in the area. Teams from Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and elsewhere traveled for the chance to improve their players’ skill set. “ We knew the competition would be Top Notch but it is all about the kids improving, if you want to be the best then play the best” said Coach Jason Bledsoe. Several other area teams competed this past weekend and many of them found the competition to be very good. While some coaches put the emphasis on winning, most will agree that it is the effort of the players and their improvement that defines success. Six time NBA champion Michael Jordan once said “I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed”. Michael Jordan began his NBA career in 1984 took him until 1991 to win his first championship. He had to suffer defeat multiple times so that he could learn how to be a champion, which could serve as a good example for our young people to keep trying, and never give...
